Janthina, Janthina janthina, the Shin-bone Tibia, Tibia fusus fusus and the Nicobar Cone, Conus nicobaricus
They are what lured me into the museum field in the first place, and over the years I have spent more hours drawing and painting shells than anything else. I am always surprised by their stunning colors and textures, and by how hard it is to accurately capture them on paper.
