Rated the web pages with the Recreational Software Advisory Council. This is a great way to voluntarily restrict access to certain types of content on the Internet. We don't have any content that should be considered controversial, but we want to let you know that! Also added a link button for their site to the front page.
Seven Links added to the Links page (marked with NEW graphic).
(March - May 1996) Lots of things changed during this time, but I wasn't paying much attention to the dates at the time. The RealAudio link to the Seashore sounds was added and then removed when AudioNet added and then removed an Environments' Seashore CD. Amy Edwards provide the maps to the meeting location and those were added. The Shell Links list quickly grew too large for the front page and was moved to a separate page. It then grew too large to be useful and an attempt was made to organize/categorize the entries. The main graphic at the top of the page went from square to round, just because it seemed to look better. The interfaces for the search engines were added to the Links page sometime in March (thanks again to infoseek for getting me started with some samples), and the buttons for quick jumping to sections of the pages were added shortly after that. Alta Vista was added to the search pages (thanks Jim!).
March 8, 1996 - First Appearance of the page in a search engine (infoseek guide was the first place we showed up, after submitting to them ALL over one month ago).
January 20, 1996 - The Georgia Shell Club web page goes online!
